Living healthy is becoming more hip and cool. Celebrities are talking about it, people are trying to get on board. For me this is all good, anything that makes us want to live healthier is a good thing. But right now there are so many wellness trends, you’ve probably noticed and even been a part of some of them. Let’s examine them.
Do you have any idea what it might be? When people come to me to help them change their lifestyle, live healthier or even lose weight, the first thing I do is to assess them. I want to know what they’ve been doing. I want to investigate to understand them better, so that my solution and my plan suits them.
Let’s face it, you’re young, you’re indestructible. You don’t have any chronic disease, you have no hypertension, diabetes, and you don’t need surgery, you’re cancer free. So why should you worry about your health when you’re so young and so fresh?
I wake up in the morning look myself in the mirror and I say nice things to myself. And as I lay to fall asleep, I say nice things about my life It sounds pretty easy, but if you’ve been in the habit of dumping on yourself and being negative, this will be harder than you think. In fact you might be embarrassed at how hard and how awkward you feel.
You’ve heard of the vegetarian diet, the paleo diet, the Mediterranean diet, the Atkins diet, the Cambridge diet, the blood group, honestly I could go on. There are so many diets that exists. But what about the Nigerian diet? What is it really good for? And can you live healthy and lose weight on it?
We dream of a world where we have a community of medical personnel (Pharmacists, doctors, Nurses support staff etc.) who are changing the way health care is delivered by rendering quality and effective patient care. We want medical professionals to hold themselves to a higher standard and we want to equip them with the tools necessary to make this happen.
Remember when you were in school and you HAD TO study. You just had to, because you knew there was an exam at the end of the semester and you did not want to fail. So you studied, you joined study group, you bought text books, you stayed up all night. At a point the reason for your studying was not to learn but just to pass the exams. This is why a lot of people abandon knowledge as soon and they are done with exams. Some adults have developed such terrible relationship with learning that they avoid it. You’ll find people who are professionals who have not updated their knowledge, some of them have not improved themselves by learning.
Become a better counselor. Learn how to effectively counsel patients and establish relationship with them to improve compliance and loyalty. This course was designed for medical personnel and support staff.
