Hi, Please Leave Me Alone

I tend to gravitate towards solitude. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like being lonely (of which I believe loneliness is a state of mind, you can connect with people anywhere if you choose to), but I enjoy spending time by myself, just listening to me and learning more about how I work. Some people don’t get it. My idea of fun is staying at home with a good book, and a scented candle stimulating my sense, and surrounded by fruits (just the thought of that has put a smile on my face). To simplify it, some school of thought and psychologist would tag me a introvert, but I’m not a stickler for labels, their too boxy. I have a friend that would rather be surrounded by lots of people, he feels energise in that type of environment.  So, we are all different, isn’t that beautiful? I think it is, I enjoy observing different personalities. But people of my own preference tend to be seen as awkward when we just sit and be consumed by our thoughts. Some people try to force us out of “our” shell.

Well, I’ve told you a lot about me, now I’m going to tell you why. I am different, and so are you, but it is okay. There is more than one way to be a person, and as long as you are not hurting anyone, your definition isn’t wrong. Embrace what makes you different, it took me a while, but I am unapologetic about who I am and how I am. The way you are is beautiful, so be that way, and discover means to spread that beauty everywhere to make other people’s live beautiful too.

So, tell me about you…
