As its contribution to the global awareness campaign for screening and early detection of Diabetes, Keeks’s is organizing a number of events as part of the celebration of World Diabetes Day.

The World Diabetes Day Project organized by Keeks’s Pharmacy will be engaging institutions, corporate organizations and individuals also concerned about this global issue in activities geared towards further enlightening the public on the need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep diabetes at bay.

This year’s celebration is focused on the Type 2 Diabetes which has proven to be on the rise and has in recent years proven to be responsible for the highest number of sufferers of the disease.

Project Highlights

Media Tour – 7th – 14th November
Novelty Football Match/ Free Screenings – 12th November
Stakeholders Cocktail/Gala Night – 13th November

The Media Tour will engage the public through the major social media channels including print and radio.

Professional medical personnel will be on ground at designated centers in Abuja throughout November to screen interested people for Diabetes at no charge and also provide advice on possible treatment options for those with elevated blood sugar levels.

Our fitness instructors will also be offering their support and consulting on physical therapy, exercise and wellbeing during the Novelty Football Match.

The Gala Night will provide a platform for interaction between stakeholders in the battle against Diabetes, as well as give room for future projections about the World Diabetes Day Project.

We believe that this year’s event will make a positive impact on the global effort even as local and international aid agencies play their part in combating the menace of Diabetes.
